Not having drawn the nude figure in a while, I sat in a class and proceded to draw. I ended up liking my finished drawing, so I thought it would be interesting to try a mixed media piece. Something new to me. The background of "Reclinig Nude II" was painted onto a stretched canvas. The figure was painted using water color pencils on fabric and then hand appliqued using a little bit of batting. For the sheet she was laying upon, I used fabric and put folds in it to create a 3-D look, batting, and then quilted. The edge of the canvas was covered using fabric piping and glued to the back.
