Recieving permission from snow crystal photographer, Kenneth Libbrech, I wanted to create one of his snow crystals reflecting as close as possible the realism seen in his photo, but using fabric and vinyl. Except for the center of the quilt, the rest of the image was airbrushed using fabric paint. details were hand painted. The center was hand painted on polyester satin. the background has images of snow flakes quilted into it.
